What a proper job looks like

Teesside ground is heavy boulder clay, and it's unforgiving of shortcuts. The build-up any installer here should be quoting is 150 to 200mm of compacted MOT Type 1 on a weed membrane, with falls that move water away from the house. Permeable options like resin bound and permeable block paving keep you clear of the 5m² front-garden planning rule without a soakaway.
